Matt Winter

Matt leverages his background in educational measurement and expertise in the latest business intelligence tools to empower businesses to make data-driven decisions. With over a decade of analytics experience partnering with companies from the banking, pharmaceutical, nonprofit, manufacturing, retail, and insurance industries, Matt has a proven track record of delivering conversation-starting reports and dashboards not only as a consultant but as an award-winning member of the data community. Matt has won two “Viz of the Day” awards from Tableau, he is the Power BI Story Spotlight Grand Winner for the August 2016 debut of the Power BI data stories gallery, and he has been featured by Microsoft in the Story Lab article.

Matt received a B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from California State University, Los Angeles, an M.A. in Chinese Language Pedagogy from Indiana University, and an Ed.M. in Applied Linguistics, Second Language Assessment from Columbia University. He is certified in Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, and RapidMiner.
