John Tan

John Tan is the current President & COO at Synthego. Prior to this, they were the Executive Vice President, Global Operations at Research Now from January 2010 to December 2013. John was hand-selected to establish post-merger global operations, build offshore capabilities, and introduce custom software application for client project delivery at a $300M global leader in online data collection and a subsidiary of E-Rewards, Inc. John built and led a 600-member global team, established offshore operations to save $4M annually via outsourcing and offer 365/24/7 service to clients, and expanded project capacity 20% with no additional resources by standardizing best practices and processes globally and optimizing existing staffing resources.

From January 2016 to January 2020, John Tan served as President at NJT Partners LLC, where they led full-service renovation efforts for hotels and multi-family apartment complexes at a company providing turnkey renovation services for the hospitality industry. John collaborated with real estate developer to create renovation operating model for occupied quick-turn apartment unit renovations.

John Tan has also served as Vice President Operations and Continuous Improvement at LexisNexis, Business of Law Software Solutions from January 2015 to December 2016.

John Tan has a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. John is certified from the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors in Commercial Building Unlimited License, the VA DPOR in Commercial Building Class A Licence, and the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in Commercial Building BD4 License.
