Ryan Burgess is a seasoned professional in the field of translational pathology, currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at Synthekine since March 2022. With expertise in immunohistochemistry (IHC) routine staining and method development on FFPE and frozen tissues, Ryan has experience working with samples from various models, including murine, non-human primate, and human. Proficient in digitizing stained slides using imaging systems such as Akoya Vectra and Aperio gt 450, Ryan analyzes and quantifies results effectively. Prior to Synthekine, Ryan held the position of Biomedical Research Technician at the United States Institute of Surgical Research from May 2016 to April 2020, during which multiple laboratory sections, including hematology and microbiology, were successfully managed. Ryan is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at Arizona State University, following an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts Science/Math/Engineering from De Anza College.
