Zhenya Koliesnik

Zhenya Koliesnik has a diverse background in scientific research and has held various positions throughout their career. They began their work experience as a Research Associate at the Palladin Institute of Biochemistry, where they focused on searching for antithrombotic agents and optimizing test systems for blood pathologies. After that, they joined the Leibniz Institute for Age Research - Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI) as a PhD Student, where they conducted experiments on NF-kB transcription factors in T cells and established collaborations across research teams. They then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at FLI, studying the role of the NF-kB protein RelB in neuroinflammation and allergy. Zhenya subsequently joined Stanford University School of Medicine as a Scientist, where they led a cross-functional effort to identify tumor neoantigens for immunotherapy in head and neck cancer. They also characterized the effects of a novel heparan sulfate inhibitor as a potential anti-inflammatory agent. Currently, Zhenya is the In vivo Cytokine Biology Lead at Synthekine, further continuing their research in cytokine biology.

Zhenya Koliesnik holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from Friedrich Schiller University Jena. They also have a Master's Degree in Biochemistry from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In addition, Zhenya completed the Stanford Ignite program from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and obtained a certification in Stanford Ignite- Part-Time Program.
