Ray Futia

Research Scientist at SyntheX

Ray Futia has a diverse work experience. In 2013, they started as an Undergraduate Student Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Binghamton University. They also took on various leadership roles at WHRW and the Binghamton University Pep Band. In 2015, Ray became a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation (NSF). They went on to pursue a PhD in the Jarosz Lab at Stanford University, where they worked as a PhD Candidate from 2016 to 2021. During this time, they also served as the Vice President of The Dish on Science. In 2021, Ray joined the Stanford Science Policy Group as a Financial Officer. They then moved on to become a Researcher in the Jarosz Lab at Stanford University in 2022. Currently, Ray is a Research Scientist at SyntheX since June 2022.

Ray Futia completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Binghamton University. During this time, they also pursued a minor in chemistry. They then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Stanford University.
