Pierre Olivier has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades in the technology industry. Pierre began their career as a QNX Software Engineer at Vidéoway Communications and later transitioned to an Embedded Software Engineer role. At SRTelecom, they served as a Technical Project Leader and later an Embedded Software Engineer, where they played a key role in the implementation and support of BSPs and low-level software.

Pierre then joined Hyperchip as a Senior Software Engineer before moving on to Dataradio / CalAmp Wireless Networks, where they worked as a Manager of R&D Software. At CalAmp Wireless Networks, they assumed various leadership positions, including Director of Engineering, Director of Application Engineering, and Director of Product Technology. In these roles, Pierre developed and led multidisciplinary teams, shaped product architectures, and facilitated bid and RFP processes.

In 2017, Pierre joined Grass Valley as the Embedded Software Manager, where they led a firmware team responsible for the Densité Product Line. Pierre maintained key performance indicators to prioritize new product introduction and customer issues while facilitating the team's growth in response to the product line's transition to IP-based media workflows.

Currently, Pierre is the Director of Engineering and Site Lead at Syntronic - A Global Design House. Reporting to the Ottawa-based Senior Vice President, they oversee the Montreal site, manages business relationships with customers, and develops written proposals and quotations.

Throughout their career, Pierre has demonstrated strong expertise in software development, project leadership, customer support, and product strategy.

Pierre Olivier attended Polytechnique Montréal from 1986 to 1989, where they obtained a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering. In addition to their degree, they have also earned certifications such as CSPO from Scrum Alliance in October 2016 and Ingénieur, Ing/P.Eng from Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in February 1992.
