Kevin Dorsey

Kevin Dorsey is a seasoned music educator with extensive experience in teaching and performance. Serving as a Music Educator at Syracuse City School District since October 1998, Kevin Dorsey has contributed significantly to the school community, including participation on the School Turnaround Team and development of master schedules. As a musician and composer since June 1991, Kevin Dorsey is recognized as a multi-instrumentalist in the Central New York area, proficient in various styles and performing often on electric bass, upright bass, tuba, and Irish bouzouki. Notable performances include collaborations with renowned artists and ensembles such as Phil Woods and the Central New York Jazz Orchestra. Kevin Dorsey holds a Master of Music in Studio Jazz Writing from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the State University of New York College at Potsdam.
