Mohammad Al Abdallah has a strong background in human rights and journalism. Mohammad started their career as a Research Assistant at Human Rights Watch, where they focused on documenting human rights violations in Syria and conducting interviews with victims. Mohammad then worked as a Program Officer at the International Center for Journalists, where they managed a global website for journalists and provided training in online media. Mohammad also worked as a Freelance Analyst, specializing in media commentary and analysis on the Syrian conflict and regional developments. Currently, they are serving as the Executive Director of the Syria Justice and Accountability Centre, where they lead efforts to promote transitional justice and accountability processes in Syria and document violations of international human rights and humanitarian law.
Mohammad Al Abdallah holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy Analysis from George Mason University - School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs. Mohammad obtained this degree from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Law from Lebanese University- Faculty of Law, which they pursued from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, they have a Diploma in News Writing and Editing from Friedrich Naumann Foundation, obtained in 2006.
