Jo Hamer

Jo is a Registered General Nurse who worked in the NHS and Australia for 32 years, with a break for 3 years where she was a Metropolitan Police Officer. She specialised in Emergency Care and worked across numerous Emergency Departments before joining System C in 2018 as a Clinical Adoption Specialist (CAS). Her NHS experience ranged across nine EDs in London and the South East, where she covered roles such as Sister, Medical Nurse Practitioner, Matron, Emergency Nurse Practitioner and Head of Nursing. Whilst at her last Trust, Jo volunteered to be seconded to the EPR project, representing the Emergency Department and Ambulatory care unit and it was whilst she was involved in this project that she developed her understanding and interest in how digital tools can increase safety and efficiency and influence Healthcare. As a Clinical Adoption Specialist, Jo supports and guides Trusts to deploy and adopt System C’s solutions, aligned with National guidance and best practice, whilst ensuring clinical safety is at the forefront of all that she does. Her Specialist areas are CareFlow ED and Patient Flow.
