Joseph began their career in 2009 as a Computer Science Intern/Co-op at the United States Department of Defense, where they worked on software development, website analysis, and the maintenance of Windows networks. In 2014, they joined Optimus Technology, Inc as a Software Engineer. In 2015, they joined SYSTOLIC, Inc, where they held two roles, System Administrator/Dev Ops and Software Engineer.
Joseph Sharkey attended Mississippi State University from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. In 2014, they obtained a Network+ certification from CompTIA and a CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification from the same institution in April of that year.
