Dave Darnell

Dave Darnell has worked in various roles since 1987. Dave began their career as the CEO/CISO/Founder of Systrends. In 2003, they became a Member of the Board for the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB). Dave then went on to become a Member of NRECA in 2016, a Member of the Electricity Distributors Association in 2015, a Member - Business Alliance Program for the Texas Electric Cooperatives in 2016, a Member of (ISC)\u00b2 in 2016, a Member of the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Technical Committee for OASIS in 2015, a Member of ISACA in 2007, a Consultant for Exelon Energy in 2008, and a Consultant and Founding Chair, TDTWG for ERCOT in 2001.

Dave Darnell has an extensive educational background. Dave holds an MBA in Information Systems from The University of Dallas, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Georgia State University, and a BSIE in Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. Dave is also certified as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², a Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA, a Certified Netware Engineer, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and a Professional Engineer from the State of Texas.
