Mary Yang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mary currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Syxsense, where they lead marketing efforts for their unified security and endpoint management platform. Prior to this, Mary was a founding member of Chief, a private network aimed at empowering senior women leaders. Early in their career, Mary held marketing roles at Lawson Software and HealthPartners, where they managed marketing campaigns, oversaw demand generation activities, and developed targeted marketing and communications plans. Additionally, they served as the Board Chair for Hmong Arts Connection, where they led the organization in updating their strategic plan and expanding their community engagement efforts. Prior to that, they worked as a Communications & Marketing Coordinator at Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS, where they managed various communications and marketing initiatives.

Throughout their career, Mary has demonstrated expertise in marketing, communications, and leadership roles. Mary has a strong background in cybersecurity and technology, with experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans, overseeing stakeholder engagements, and driving business growth.

Mary Yang completed their undergraduate education from 2000 to 2004 at Mount Holyoke College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Mary then pursued a Master's degree in English, specializing in Colonial and Post-Colonial Cultures, from the University of Sussex from 2004 to 2005. Prior to their higher education, they earned an International Baccalaureate diploma from Hillsborough High School. Additionally, in June 2011, they obtained a certification in Marketing Writing from MarketingProfs University.
