Philip Douw

Philip Douw is an experienced professional currently working as an FX Trader at Syz Group since October 2022. Douw is also a co-founder of Balkia, responsible for setting up and developing the rakija brand, managing marketing, customer relationships, financial forecasting, import procedures, event planning, accounting, and human resources since November 2015. Previous experience includes a role at UBS from March to August 2020, where Douw supported corporate and institutional clients with reports and sales activities, and an internship at Philip Morris International in July 2018, focusing on finance and innovation. Douw has also coached teams in paintball from 2013 to 2016, conducted market surveys for M.I.S Trend S.A. in 2012-2013, and worked as summer staff at Autohaus Karsch GmbH in 2010-2011. Douw holds multiple master's degrees in Fintech, Data Science, and Entrepreneurship from HEC Lausanne and the University of Zurich, as well as a bachelor's degree in Economics from HEC Lausanne.
