Justin Terrien has over 13 years of work experience in the automotive industry. Justin began their career in 2006 as a Team Member at OUFSAE and a CAD/ Patent Draftsman at Cloyes Gear and Product. In 2007, they were an Engineer at Winterpark Engineering, where they developed a catalyst monitor to check for malfunctioning catalyst and misfire-detection. From 2006 to 2013, they were a Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Oakland University, where they designed and implemented a data acquisition system using Lab View and custom sensors. In 2008, they joined Chrysler Group LLC as a Product Development Engineer, where they were responsible for calibration of the 2 Mode Advanced Hybrid System for Chrysler Group LLC. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Physics Model Based Development Manager, Hybrid Supervisory Controller Calibration Engineer, and Electrified Powertrain Software Architecture Engineer at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. In 2021, they joined Acculon Energy as a Principal Engineer and Technicity as a Full Stack Systems Engineer.
Justin Terrien attended Ferris State University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned an A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Justin then attended Oakland University from 2005 to 2007, where they earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, they returned to Oakland University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
