Sarah Leonard

Vice President, Pre-clinical Development at T-Cypher Bio

Sarah Leonard has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and cancer research. Sarah is currently serving as the Vice President of Pre-clinical Development at T-Cypher Bio since March 2022.

Prior to this, Sarah worked as a Scientist in Residence at Oxford Science Enterprises from April 2021 to June 2022.

From 2016 to 2021, they held the position of Group Leader at Immunocore.

Before joining Immunocore, Sarah worked as an Ovacome Research Fellow at Ovacome from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they received a Translational Research Fellowship, where they focused on identifying biomarkers for disease progression and chemoresistance in gynecological cancers.

Sarah started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Oncology at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from 2009 to 2012. Their research in this role contributed to the development of a phase 2 clinical trial for acute myeloid leukemia.

Sarah Leonard completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Microbiology at Trinity College Dublin from 2002 to 2006. Afterwards, they pursued further education at the University of Birmingham, where they obtained their PhD in Viral Oncology from 2006 to 2009.
