James Lanyon

CSO at T3

James works with clients to identify strategy and innovation opportunities that drive business and customer experience. He also serves as an internal consultant across T3 clients as an expert on emerging technologies and customer-engagement best practices.

Since joining in 2015, James’ focus on synthesizing strategic insight and innovative experimentation has generated a portfolio of new engagements, ranging from T3’s proprietary Innovation Think Tank process to the agency’s Useful Brands platform. This work has helped drive applications such as Allstate’s QuickTrip and customer experience design for the Texas Bullet Train.

James began his career in government and public policy for a presidential campaign and as a legislative associate for the National Association of Manufacturers. In 2001, he joined National Instruments’ communications team before moving to Cohn & Wolfe, overseeing marketing communications planning for e-commerce, software, and semiconductor clients. He also served as SVP for Insights and Research at Austin-based Sanders\Wingo on AT&T, State Farm, General Motors, and HCA.
