Allan Sewell is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in manufacturing and plant engineering. Currently serving as Plant Engineering Manager at Taber Extrusions since September 2015, Sewell previously held the position of Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Union Tank Car Company from December 2013 to September 2015. Their extensive career also includes various roles at Oreck Corporation from March 1998 to December 2013, including Product Engineering Manager and Facility Manager. Additional experience encompasses positions at Sunbeam Oster Household Products, United Technologies Corporation, Federal Mogul Corporation, and Litton Corp, showcasing a robust history in industrial and manufacturing engineering. Allan obtained a degree from The University of Southern Mississippi between 1980 and 1985.

Taber Extrusions is a full-service partner, offering custom aluminum alloy casting, award-winning extrusion of complex, heavy, and wide shapes, and finishing services such as cut-to-length, welding, painting and anodizing, ultrasonic testing, and more. Our full range of extrusion presses, from 1800 and 3000 ton to our impressive large 8600 ton, give us unmatched flexibility and profile capabilities. For example: one of the largest extrusion presses in the United States, our 8600 ton press, has the capability to extrude both 16 and 20 inch round billets, and 10” x 28” rectangular billets with a maximum circle size of 32” and up to 140 lbs. per foot. With the ability to extrude large, intricate configurations, such as lightweight but strong one-piece extrusions, the customer can incorporate whole assemblies of small components into one extruded part.
