Denver Tam has over 25 years of work experience in software engineering. In 1997, they began their professional career as a Software Engineer at Call Technologies, Inc., where they worked on telecom device programming and maintenance. In 1999, they moved on to Maincontrol, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for OO design and implementation with IBM/Smalltalk. In 2001, they returned to Cryptek, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented Network Security Client (Linux, Win32). In 2006, they became a Senior Software Engineer (Consultant) at AOL. In 2007, they returned to Cryptek, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, and designed and implemented Network Security Client (Linux, Win32). In 2008, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Quest Software. In 2011, they moved on to Invincea, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed software for a leading malware protection environment. In 2013, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Ocean's Edge, Inc., where they were a Linux Kernel Driver Developer for the internal R & D group. In 2015, they joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Lead Technologist, where they were part of the original development team for Booz Allen's District: Defend product. Finally, in 2022, they became a Software Developer at Tactical Network Solutions.

Denver Tam attended St. Patrick's School from 1982 to 1985, where they studied Science. Denver then attended North Carolina State University from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a BS in Computer Engineering.
