Slava Shpitalny has extensive experience in software development, beginning with a role as a Software Architect for the Israel Defense Forces in 2011. In this role, they worked with teams to implement best practices in software development, reducing the number of bugs and almost completely removing recurring bugs. Slava also reduced deployment times from one month to a few days by leading the migration of projects into continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Slava then served as a Software Team Leader, managing several technological projects concurrently under tight and changing schedules. Slava also worked using an agile software development methodology Scrum as a Scrum Master. Finally, they served as a Programmer, developing front-end and back-end applications, services, and infrastructures for new and existing large distributed systems.
In 2017, Slava began working for Tactile Mobility (formerly MobiWize) as a Software Development Team Lead. In this role, they took on the role of a cloud architect for a multi-team product, involving backend microservices and a single page web application. Slava also led a team of four people in designing and developing a highly scalable mapping solution. Additionally, they integrated Pull Requests into the CI process, created logging and monitoring solutions for distributed systems, integrated database migrations solutions, and designed and implemented an automatic deployment system of Docker images using Ansible to AWS and local servers.
Slava Shpitalny attended Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a B.Sc in Computer Science.
