Since 1984, TADA!’s mission is to provide young people from all different backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to be creative, learn, and think differently. Our vision is for all young people to grow up feeling successful, creative, confident, accepted, and accepting of themselves. Through the ability of people learning to express themselves well we can break down barriers of racism and inequality and create positive, active citizens.

TADA! is a unique Drama Desk award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth theater that produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. TADA! offers a free, year-round, pre-professional training & youth development program for the Resident Youth Ensemble (ages 8-18); musical theater classes/camps for the public; as well as musical theater residencies in NYC schools and community centers. Through TADA!’s high-quality work, young people’s self-confidence and creativity are enhanced. They also develop advanced skills in leadership, communication, responsibility, collaboration, and problem-solving – skills that help with growing up and are essential to their success both in school and in life.

The Artists and Designers team at TADA! Youth Theater is responsible for creating and executing the artistic vision of the theater's original musicals. This includes designing sets, lighting, and soundscapes to enhance the storytelling experience. Additionally, the team includes music directors, composers, and teaching artists who develop and teach musical theater curricula, guiding young performers in honing their craft and building essential life skills through creative expression.

The Education and Development Team at TADA! Youth Theater is responsible for facilitating and managing the educational components and developmental initiatives of the organization. This team oversees the Resident Youth Ensemble Training (RYET) Program, public musical theater classes, and camps, as well as musical theater residencies in NYC schools and community centers. Their mission is not only to nurture young people's creativity and confidence through high-quality theater education but also to secure funding, manage educational programming, and support professional growth for artists and educators within the organization.

The Leadership Team at TADA! Youth Theater, comprising the President, Managing Director, and Vice President, oversees and directs the organization’s strategic vision, mission execution, and overall operations. Their responsibilities include securing funding, ensuring high-quality program delivery, fostering community partnerships, managing staff and resources, and guiding the nonprofit toward long-term sustainability and impact. This team ensures that TADA! continues to inspire and empower young people through the arts, promoting creativity, confidence, and social equity.

Leadership Team

The Stage Management Team at TADA! Youth Theater ensures seamless execution of productions by coordinating all aspects of a show, including rehearsals, technical elements, and performances. Led by the Production Stage Manager, along with the Assistant Stage Managers, the team facilitates communication among cast and crew, maintains schedules, and oversees the logistics and safety of all production activities, thus enabling a professional and supportive environment for young performers to thrive.
