Andrew McKay

Andrew McKay has experience working in various roles and companies. Andrew is currently working as a Product Engineer at tado° since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Eaton as a Senior Data Scientist from April 2021 to May 2022, and as a Data Scientist from November 2019 to April 2021. Andrew also worked as a Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin from January 2018 to October 2019. Andrew was a Visiting Research Fellow at The University of British Columbia in November and December 2017, where they studied the sound transmission characteristics of lightweight sandwich panels. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Trinity College Dublin from April to October 2017, focusing on designing and commissioning impedance tubes and studying the absorption and transmission characteristics of metamaterial panels. Andrew began their career as an intern at Wavebob Ltd from June to August 2012.

Andrew McKay completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. Andrew pursued this degree from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Trinity College Dublin from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a B.A. and B.A.I. in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, they obtained certifications in IoT Gateway Operations from Microsoft OpenHack in January 2021 and completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in July 2019.
