Dr Norman Baker

Dr. Norman Baker (GAICD) is an accomplished executive with a diverse background in education and regional development. Currently serving as the Executive Director at TAFE SA since August 2019, Dr. Baker leads initiatives to enhance workforce development throughout the state. Previously, Dr. Baker held roles as Executive Director at North Metropolitan TAFE and Chief Executive Officer at the Peel Development Commission, where responsibilities included coordinating regional development efforts and advising on economic initiatives. Dr. Baker's extensive experience encompasses several leadership positions across various educational institutions, including the Goldfields Esperance Development Commission and West Coast Institute, alongside multiple educational qualifications such as a Doctor of Business Administration and a Master of Educational Research.
