Tory Bryant

Tory Bryant has a varied and extensive work experience in the creative industry. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Creative at Tafi, a role they began in May 2022. Prior to this, Tory worked at Nike from March 2018 to April 2021 as a Senior Designer / Innovation.

Before joining Nike, Tory spent a significant amount of time at LAIKA, LLC starting in May 2010 until March 2018. During their tenure at LAIKA, Tory held the role of Lead 3D Innovation / Character Art Color Direction. They were responsible for overseeing character faces in animation films such as "The Boxtrolls," "Kubo," and "The Missing Link." They collaborated with various departments, including modelers, puppet makers, and VFX artists, and played a key role in implementing color processes and 3D technology workflows for character development. Additionally, Tory contributed to winning the Academy Award for Science & Technology Oscar.

Prior to LAIKA, Tory worked as a Senior Matte Painter at Lumenas Animation from August 2008 to March 2009. They also had a previous stint at LAIKA, LLC as a Character Painter from September 2007 to August 2008, where they hand-painted character faces, costumes, and props for a stop motion production. They were known for their skill in paint and color duplication and played a role in streamlining the creative process.

Before entering the animation industry, Tory worked at Hasbro as a Model Painter from October 2006 to March 2007. They were responsible for painting prototypes for various purposes and managing outside vendor relationships. Their role also involved creating graphic design labels for stickers.

Beginning their career, Tory worked as an Illustrator / Graphic Designer at Pyramid Marketing, Design & Technology from January 2005 to November 2006.
