Hawre Ahmed serves as the Executive Director and Researcher at the Kurdistan Center for International Law since May 2020, focusing on the research and analysis of international law related to Kurdistan's communities, alongside advocacy for human rights and humanitarian principles. Previously, Hawre held the position of Focal Point of Iraq at Mensen met een Missie from January 2022 to June 2023 and worked as a Legal Assistant for the European Union Election Observation Mission during the Iraqi elections in August to November 2021. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Human Rights from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg (2018-2020), a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Human Development (2011-2015), and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Sulaimaniyah (2004-2008).
