Steve Heinen

Steve Heinen is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in the communications industry, including significant roles at notable companies. Currently serving as a part-time National Ski Patroller at Tahoe Donner Association since December 2017, Steve has also been self-employed in a retired capacity since March 2015. Prior to retirement, Steve held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Engineering and Global Support Services at Spirent Communications, where responsibilities included enhancing performance evaluation tools for telecommunications technologies. Other notable roles include Senior Vice President of Products at Sylantro Systems, Vice President of Engineering at multiple firms such as Terayon, Kineto Wireless, Geyser Networks, SAN Valley Systems, Verilink, and Nortel Networks, contributing to advancements in VoIP technology, broadband access solutions, and network access products. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara, completed between 1973 and 1977.
