Jean-Philippe Landry has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jean-Philippe currently works at Taiga Motors as the Director of Software Engineering, a position they have held since October 2022. Jean-Philippe successfully ran the business from June 2001 to December 2016 before selling it. Furthermore, they worked as a Simulation Specialist at OPAL-RT Technologies from January 2010 to April 2011.

Jean-Philippe Landry completed their Baccalauréat in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in the years 2005 to 2009. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications over the years. Jean-Philippe completed the "Strategies and techniques for confined space rescue" certification from SPI Santé Sécurité / SPI Health and Safety in June 2019. In April 2019, they received the "Industrial Fire Brigade Member - NFPA 1081 Level 2" certification from NFPA. Jean-Philippe also holds the "Wilderness & Remote First Aid" certification from the Canadian Red Cross, which they obtained in April 2018. Jean-Philippe is a "First Responder Level 3" since July 2017, certified by the Canadian Red Cross. Lastly, they are a certified "Rescue Diver" since August 2012, certified by PADI.
