Abhijit Agarwal

Abhijit Agarwal has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Abhijit currently serves as the Sr. Medical Director of Medical Affairs at Taiho Oncology, Inc., where they are responsible for cross-functional collaboration, providing medical input and expertise, delivering scientific presentations, and partnering with key thought leaders. Prior to this role, Abhijit worked at Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation, where they held various positions including Global Medical Director, Franchise Lead for Scientific Engagement and Communications, and Associate Medical Scientific Director. During their time at Novartis, they were involved in developing and executing global medical affairs plans, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, managing clinical trials, and supporting launch activities. Before joining Novartis, they worked at Excel Life Sciences as an Operations Manager in clinical trials management. Abhijit began their career at the University of Rochester and later worked at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as a Sr. Research Program Coordinator. Abhijit Agarwal completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from PMT Rural Medical College, Pune University, from 1994 to 1998. Abhijit then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Medico-Legal Systems from Symbiosis Center of Health Care from 2000 to 2001. Abhijit further expanded their education by obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in International Public Health/International Health from Boston University, from 2001 to 2003. During their time at Boston University, they also earned a Certificate in Management and Finance in International Health in 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Abhijit Agarwal has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Abhijit received a Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (CCRC) from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) in September 2009. Furthermore, they completed the Aspiring Leadership Program and Leading at the Frontline [ Ml] certification from the Human Resources - Novartis Hyderabad in February 2013 and June 2014, respectively.
