Alok Gupta

Alok Gupta has extensive work experience starting from their early career at TCS where they worked as a developer and team lead for various clients. Alok then joined Clickmarks as a Principal Software Engineer and Oracle Expert, before moving on to Cashedge Inc. as an Engineering Manager. Alok then worked at e*Trade as a Sr. Manager of Software Engineering and later joined SurfBI as the Director of Product Development.

In 2013, they became a key member of the GE Digital team, serving as the Sr. Director and Industrial Internet/IoT Leader. Alok was responsible for managing software IOT application products for the Oil & Gas industry and played a crucial role in launching the flagship IOT product Asset Performance Management (APM). Alok also contributed to the enhancement of the Predix IOT platform.

After GE Digital, Alok joined Avitas Systems, a BHGE venture, as the VP of Engineering and Product. Alok successfully led the development and launch of a SaaS platform integrating drones, robotic crawlers, and data analytics.

Following their tenure at Avitas Systems, Alok joined Strateos, Inc. as the SVP of Engineering. Alok headed the engineering, design, and IT departments, overseeing the merger of two engineering organizations as part of an M&A.

In 2023, Alok took on the role of VP of Engineering at Tailorbird and also became an Advisor/Mentor at Berkeley SkyDeck.

Alok Gupta attended Stanford University in 2009, focusing on social entrepreneurship. In 2008, they also attended Stanford Continuing Studies to improve their public speaking skills. Prior to these, Alok completed their B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.
