Tom DʼNetto

Tom D'Netto is currently a Technical Staff at Tailscale. Tom was previously a Senior Security Engineer at Google from September 2016 to April 2022. Their work there consisted of keeping Googlers safe on their devices, wherever they were. Tom specialized in device identity, health attestation, and platform containment.

Before Google, Tom worked as an Analyst - Cyber Risk Services at Deloitte Australia from March 2016 to September 2016. There, they helped clients manage and transform their cyber risk through Identity & Access Management (IAM). Tom implemented SSO (Single-sign-on) for public-sector internal applications and developed custom Java connectors for Oracle Identity Manager (OIM).

Tom's first job was as a Senior Software Engineer at Precision Tracking from October 2015 to March 2016. There, they led Android development, building a new product for restaurants and store fronts called Delivery Command. Tom developed the android app for Delivery Command, integrating Material Design, DDP (meteor), location services and reactive technologies. Tom also developed and tested the product at potential clients, getting exposure to their needs and exploring ways to solve them. Additionally, they did serverside development with reactive technologies working with a meteor JS and mysql stack.
