Wei Fan

Wei Fan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technology and healthcare. Wei is currently serving as the Chief Scientist at Taimei Technology, where they are the Head of Fleming Research and also holds the position of CEO at Taimei USA. Prior to this, Wei Fan was the Executive Director at Tencent Medical AI Lab from September 2017 to July 2021. Wei also worked at Baidu as the Senior Director and Head of Baidu Big Data Lab from September 2016 to September 2017. Before that, they held the role of Director and Deputy Head of BDL at Baidu Research Big Data Lab from January 2015 to September 2016. Wei Fan also gained valuable experience as the Associate Director at Huawei Noah Ark's Lab from August 2012 to December 2014. Wei'searly career includes working as a Research Staff Member at IBM T.J.Watson Research from December 2000 to August 2012.

Wei Fan completed their high school education at Beijing University High School from 1985 to 1988, majoring in Science. Wei then pursued their undergraduate and graduate studies in Computer Science at Tsinghua University from 1988 to 1995, earning both a BE and an MS degree. Wei Fan furthered their education at Columbia University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 1995 to 2000.
