Kristina Allikmets

Kristina Allikmets is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of R&D for the Plasma-Derived Therapies Business Unit at Takeda since March 2012. With a diverse background, Kristina has held several leadership roles at Takeda, including Vice President positions overseeing various therapeutic areas and patient outreach initiatives. Prior to Takeda, Kristina was with Takeda Pharmaceuticals (formerly Nycomed) from August 2004 to March 2012, where responsibilities included Chief Medical Officer and leadership in medical scientific strategy. Kristina's academic background includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cardiology from the University of Tartu.
