Jaime Alvarez

Jaime Alvarez is an accomplished academic and industry professional with a focus on design and engineering. Currently serving as a tenured Professor and Associate Professor at Takushoku University since April 2017, Jaime leads the Product Design Lab within the Department of Design. Previous experience includes roles as an Accessibility and Universal Design Specialist at Estrategias de Valor Social, S.C. and as a Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where Jaime also contributed as a co-founder and treasurer of Core Social, A.C. Notably, Jaime held senior faculty positions at Keio University, participating in significant research projects with major Japanese companies such as Nissan and Toshiba. Jaime's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Design and Applied Arts from Musashino Art University, alongside various specialization programs in product design and engineering from Kanazawa College of Art and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
