Hemant Puri

Hemant Puri is currently the Co-Founder and VP of Cloud Engineering at Tala Security. Hemant has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and has held various positions throughout their career.

Hemant started their career as a software engineer at Frontier in 1993. Hemant then moved on to become a team lead at Ukiah in 1996. In 1999, they became a lead at Novell.

In 2001, Hemant joined Neoscale Systems as a technical team lead. Hemant was responsible for delivering CryptoStor for Tape appliance from concept to productization. Hemant then left Neoscale Systems in 2005 to join Cisco Systems as a technical lead.

At Cisco Systems, Hemant was responsible for leading a team in networking security. Hemant worked on firewall blade for Cat6K, load balancers (appliance + blade), VoIP protocols (SIP, H323), AAA modules (RADIUS, TACACS+), and configuration management of blade. Hemant left Cisco Systems in 2008.

In 2009, Hemant co-founded Tala Security Inc and is currently the VP of Cloud Engineering and Cloud Architect.

Hemant Puri's educational career began at Loyola High School. Hemant then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned their degree in engineering.

Their manager is Aanand Krishnan, Co-Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Deepika Gajaria - VP, Products, Swapnil Bhalode - Co-Founder & CTO.
