Jim Chan

Jim Chan currently serves as the Head of Credit at Talen Energy, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this role, Jim worked in various capacities within the energy sector, including Market Risk Advisory at Shell Energy from December 2022 to November 2023, and as the Head of Credit Risk and Treasury for North America at Uniper from July 2021 to November 2022. Additional experience includes serving as Credit Manager at EDF Energy North America, Manager of Market Risk Analysis at Calpine, and positions at The Alliance Risk Group, Twin Eagle, and Calpine Corporation. Jim holds an MBA in Investments Finance from the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business and a degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
