Kate McGuire

Kate McGuire possesses extensive experience in the mining and sustainability sectors, currently serving as Superintendent of Sustainability at Talison Lithium since 2004, where responsibilities include developing and implementing sustainability strategies to enhance ESG practices in lithium mining. Previous roles at Talison Lithium include Business Improvement Lead, focusing on business improvement initiatives, and Technical Superintendent Major Projects, overseeing significant lithium expansion projects encompassing flowsheet design and operational readiness. Earlier positions at Sons of Gwalia and Pasminco involved roles such as Senior Metallurgist and Plant Metallurgist, with a focus on technical projects across various sites. Kate earned a degree in Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge in 2021 and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of South Australia in 1996.
