Steve Ayling is an accomplished surveying professional with extensive experience in mine surveying and GIS analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Mine Surveyor at Talison Lithium Pty Ltd since May 2022, Steve has also held positions such as Surveyor/GIS Analyst at Airborne Maps since April 2016 and Contract Surveyor at Cobe Surveys Pty Ltd during the Koolan Island restart project. Previous roles include GIS Specialist at Bio Diverse Solutions, GIS Consultant at Working on Fire (Australia), and Contract GIS Administrator at Spatial Awareness. Steve's background also features significant contributions as a Contract Mine Surveyor for various mining companies, including Regis Resources and BHP Billiton. Talison is a leading global producer of lithium minerals situated on a world class lithium asset at Greenbushes in the south west of Western Australia that has been supplying a global customer network for almost 40 years. Talison is a private company owned by two companies under a joint venture arrangement - Tianqi Lithium Corporation/IGO Limited JV (51%) and Albemarle Corporation (49%). In anticipation of sustained growth in lithium consumption, driven primarily by the secondary lithium battery market, Talison has more than doubled its production capacity at the Greenbushes Lithium Operation to supply feedstock for the Kwinana Lithium Hydroxide Refinery near Perth and Albemarle's Kemerton Lithium Hydroxide Plant near Bunbury.
