Vanessa Niemczyk

Vanessa Niemczyk is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as the Lead Fire Science Research Technician at Tall Timbers Research Station & Land Conservancy since January 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Biological Science Technician with the U.S. Forest Service, where habitat assessments and water quality data collection were conducted. Vanessa has also contributed as an Ecological Monitoring Crew Member for the Southwest Conservation Corps and as a Field Technician for the NEON Program, focusing on ecosystem monitoring and data integrity. Earlier roles include environmental restoration efforts at Songbird Environmental and aquatic invasive species management at the Oneida County Land & Water Conservation Department. Vanessa Niemczyk is pursuing a Master of Science in Forestry at the University of Montana, building on a background that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Earth Science from Miami University and a Capstone Certificate in GIS Fundamentals from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
