Shauna Ennis has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, currently serving as the Head of Learning and Development at Tallaght University Hospital since December 2013. In this role, Shauna also holds titles as Nurse Practice Development Co-ordinator and Nurse Practice Development Advisor. Prior to this, Shauna worked at Tallaght Hospital from 1998 to 2013, where professional responsibilities included serving as a Clinical Facilitator in the Intensive Care Unit and as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the same unit.

Tallaght University Hospital

TUH is one of Ireland’s largest acute teaching hospitals, adult, psychiatric and age-related healthcare on one site. The Hospital has 495 adult beds with 3,000 people on staff. The Hospital is a provider of local, regional and national specialties. It is also a national urology centre, the second largest provider of dialysis services in the country, a national centre for Urology and pelvic and acetabular fractures. Robotic surgery started in 2020 and we have recently been designated as a Trauma Unit (one of two within the newly established trauma network). The Hospital also has 67 paediatric beds under the governance of Children’s Health Ireland and 52 mental health beds under HSE governance.
