Lindley Mary Ann has an extensive career in journalism, currently serving as the Editorial Page Editor at Tallahassee Democrat since January 1979, where responsibilities include managing editorial and opinion pages and overseeing the Editorial Board. Previously, Lindley held roles as a General Interest Columnist and Editorial Writer and Columnist at The Miami Herald, and was the Legislative-state desk editor for N.Y. Times Florida newspapers. Early in the career, Lindley worked as the Capital bureau chief, columnist, and political reporter while also contributing as a stringer for Time Magazine and the New York Times. Lindley began at Tallahassee Democrat in January 1969 as a copy editor, arts and features writer, and arts editor. Lindley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
