Nicole Torosin

Nicole Torosin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and industries. Most recently, they worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Tally Health, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Associate at Rutgers University from August 2019 to May 2022.

From August 2017 to May 2019, Nicole worked at the University of Utah, first as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where they taught courses on Population Genetics and Human Origins. Nicole also ran Python coding labs and small discussion sections. Additionally, they served as the Knapp Laboratory Manager during the same period.

Nicole has also had experience in the startup world, working at uBiota as a Communications Manager from August 2017 to October 2018. In this role, they wrote blog posts on the gut microbiome for customers and provided support for data interpretation. Nicole also contributed to product improvement, sales, and shipping.

Lastly, Nicole worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Salt Lake Community College from April 2016 to April 2017. Nicole designed and taught a course on Human Origins, including writing the syllabus, creating lectures, and designing laboratory activities.

Nicole Torosin attended the University of Utah from 2014 to 2020. During their time there, they did not specify a degree or field of study. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology, along with a minor in Cell Biology, from Northwestern University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Data Science Boot Camp certification from The Erdős Institute in January 2022 and became a Lagree Fitness Method Certified Trainer from Lagree Fitness in August 2017.
