Ricardo's earlier experience includes working as a Practicante at Biomedica San Martin from August 2018 to December 2018. Ricardo also had an internship at Arizona State University from January 2018 to July 2018, where they were involved in the design of prosthetic sockets for below-knee amputees and conducted research for Parkinson Disease patients in a locomotion lab under the guidance of Dr. Thurmon Lockhart.

Ricardo Rivera obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 2014 to 2019. In 2018, they briefly attended the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, focusing on Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
