Ellen Bowman

Ellen Bowman's work experience includes a variety of roles in the fashion industry. Ellen started their career as an intern at Studio Pia and Coco de Mer London in 2018, gaining experience in design and fashion events. Ellen then worked as a Sales Stylist and Tailor at Levi Strauss & Co. from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, they interned as a Pattern Cutter at Impudique Lingerie & Patrice Catanzaro.

From 2020 to 2021, Bowman worked at London Contour Experts, where they held multiple roles, including Technical Intern, Design Assistant, Marketing and Production Assistant, and ultimately Production Manager. During this time, they gained experience in various aspects of production and marketing in the fashion industry.

Bowman continued to expand their expertise in the lingerie and swimwear sector by working at Nichole de Carle London as a Technical Intern in 2020. In 2022, they joined Playful Promises as a Junior Garment Technician, responsible for fit sessions, creating technical packs, and managing accounts for well-known brands.

In 2022, Bowman also started their own venture called Ellen Bowman Designs, offering services such as dressmaking, alterations, and freelance work specializing in lingerie and swimwear. Ellen provides CAD illustration, technical packs, fit consultancy, and product development.

In 2023, Bowman worked as a Junior Garment Technologist on a 4-month contract at FatFace. Ellen then joined Talon International, Inc. as an Account Manager (Maternity Cover) in June 2023.

Throughout their work experience, Bowman has demonstrated their expertise in garment technology, design, production, and account management in the fashion industry.

Ellen Bowman pursued their tertiary education at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, from 2017 to 2021. During this period, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Contour Fashion. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2012, they attended Southdowns College, where they obtained their A Levels with a focus on Apparel and Textiles. In 2014, Ellen also participated in a short course called "Bra Making for Beginners" at De Montfort University, which offered training in the field of Intimate Apparel.
