John B. Spath

John B. Spath is the Senior Vice President of Production Operations at Talos Energy. John has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

Spath started their career as a Process Engineer at McDermott International, Ltd. in 1995. John then transitioned to Marathon Oil Corporation as a Deepwater Drilling Engineer in 1996. In 2005, they left Marathon Oil to join Mariner Energy as a Deepwater Drilling Engineer.

In 2008, Spath left Mariner Energy to join Deep Gulf Energy as a Deepwater Drilling Engineer. John then transitioned to Stone Energy in 2007 as a Drilling Engineer. In 2012, Spath left Stone Energy to join Helix Energy Solutions Group as a Deepwater Drilling Engineer.

In 2013, Spath joined Talos Energy LLC as the SVP of Production Operations. John has been with Talos Energy for over 6 years and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Production Operations.

John B. Spath received a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southwestern LA.
