Alberto Mendes

Alberto Mendes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alberto is currently working at Tamanna.com as the Head of Engineering since January 2023. Prior to this, they were employed at FARFETCH from March 2022 to January 2023 as the Head of Engineering and simultaneously as an Engineering Manager from December 2018 to January 2023. Alberto also has experience as an Invited Professor at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto from September 2017 to January 2023. Earlier in their career, they worked at Tlantic SI as a Project Manager from July 2011 to December 2018. Before that, they were associated with ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. where they served as a Project Manager responsible for implementing ALERT solutions in Portugal and the USA from November 2009 to July 2011. Additionally, they held roles such as Implementations Senior Team Manager from February 2009 to May 2010 and ADW Implementations Team Manager from May 2007 to January 2009 at ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. Alberto's earliest work experience was as a Product Manager at Modelo Continente from September 2004 to April 2007, where they were responsible for the overall system production and also served as a BI internal consultant. Alberto also completed a successful internship project during this time, designing and developing the ETL for a daily sales data mart.

Alberto Mendes pursued their education at the Universidade do Minho, where they completed their Licenciatura degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from 2000 to 2004. Alberto then furthered their studies at the same university, obtaining a Pós Graduação em Informática from 2005 to 2006.
