Joseph Myers, PhD, ATC, FNATA has a diverse work experience in the field of exercise and sport science. Joseph started their career as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University in 2001 and then moved to the University of Pittsburgh in 2002, where they worked as an Assistant Professor until 2007. In 2007, they joined the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Professor of Exercise and Sport Science, where they remained until 2016. Since 2016, they have held the position of Director of Baseball Performance Science at the Tampa Bay Rays.

Joseph Myers, PhD, ATC, FNATA has an extensive education history in the field of sports medicine. Joseph obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Athletic Training from West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Sports Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 1996 to 1998. Dr. Myers then furthered their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 1998 to 2001.
