Tampa Bay Water
Michelle Viale-Bick is a seasoned microbiologist currently serving as a Microbiologist/Laboratory Scientist II and Laboratory Chemical Hygiene and Safety Officer for Tampa Bay Water since February 2008. In this role, Michelle conducts comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analyses of drinking and raw water, utilizing methods approved by the State of Florida to assess various microbiological parameters. Previously, Michelle held leadership positions as Committee Chair and Vice-Chair for the Contaminants and Biological Contaminants Committees of the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FSAWWA) from 2011 to 2017. Earlier experience includes contract microbiology roles at Kforce Inc and Pinellas County Utilities, focusing on media preparation and analysis in compliance with NELAC standards. Michelle earned a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Central Florida.
