Ramon Millan-Pineda

Ramon Millan-Pineda is vice president of Information Technology and Telecommunications and chief information officer for TECO Energy. Millan-Pineda leads a team of technical professionals responsible for TECO's corporate computing systems, including Tampa Electric, Peoples Gas and News Mexico Gas Co.

He has more than 20 years of experience leading information technology operations, innovation and digital transformation, in multiple industries, including hospitality, transportation, pharmaceuticals and higher education.

Millan-Pineda has a Doctor of Philosophy in Digital Transformation from New York University; two master’s degrees from Columbia University, in Organizational Behavior and Technology Management; a Master of Business Administration from Yale University; and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Systems Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.

Millan-Pineda serves as mentor at Columbia University, Center of Technology Management. He is also a member of the advisory board at Harvard University.
