Rick Carpenter is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership and innovation within the medical device and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as Chief Technical Officer at Tandem Diabetes Care since November 2021, Rick focuses on advancing solutions for diabetes management. Prior roles include SVP of Engineering at Inseego Corp, where Rick led a world-class 5G engineering team, and General Manager of IoT Business at Capsule Technologies, where Rick oversaw the development of IoT platforms for healthcare. Rick's career also encompasses significant positions at Smith Micro Software, NextWave Broadband, Sierra Wireless, Denso, and Motorola, showcasing a consistent track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering impactful technology solutions.
