Carmelia Bankhead currently serves as a Patient Access Specialist at Creston Dental and Braces since April 2022, bringing valuable experience in patient interaction and care. Additionally, Carmelia has been with Tandem Health since July 2011, holding dual roles as a Community Health Worker and Patient Scheduler, contributing to the coordination and accessibility of healthcare services in the community.

Tandem Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and accredited patient-centered medical home (PCMH) providing comprehensive, personalized healthcare services to the Sumter community at large regardless of their ability to pay. We are not a free clinic. Rather we offer a sliding fee scale to qualifying patients based on the size of their family and income to improve their access to the high quality healthcare services they deserve. We also accept most insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid, enhancing our ability to care for our local community.
