Andrei Popa

Andrei Popa is a Senior iOS Developer at Tandem. Andrei has been in the industry for over 9 years, starting their career as an iOS/Mac software engineer at SoftVision. Andrei then moved to Apptivation where they worked as an iOS developer for a year before joining Moonpig. At Moonpig, they worked as an iOS developer for 2 years before being promoted to Principal iOS Developer at Tandem Bank. In this role, they recruited engineers and built a high performing iOS team distributed on two geographies. Empowered and helped the team establish and improve it’s own processes with the goal of increasing quality and delivery. Andrei also provided guidance for the Android team when developing cross- functional projects to ensure a consistent approach on both front end clients. Liaised with the backend teams to get a complete understanding of our processes and improve the front-end-back-end communication to minimise pain points. Andrei has been with Tandem for 3 years now and currently holds the title of Senior iOS Developer.

Andrei Popa has a background in electrical and electronics engineering and computer science. Andrei attended the master courses for Designing Very-Large-Scale Integrated Circuits at The "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information. Andrei then went on to earn their Master's degree in Network Communications at the same school. Finally, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Applied automatics at The "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering.
